Founded in 1945, the South Tyrol Association of Entrepreneurs has 479 member companies, including the most innovative, international and productive enterprises in South Tyrol. They provide work for over 41,000 people and make up two thirds of all South Tyrolean exports. They are active in a very wide range of sectors, but are all industrially organized and come from manufacturing and from industry-related services. The South Tyrol Association of Entrepreneurs is the local representative of Confindustria, the Italian industrial confederation, an umbrella organization that is the largest representative of the interests of manufacturing and service companies in Italy, with more than 150,000 member companies employing a total of some 5.5 million people.

Industry 4.0 Together with IDM South Tyrol, Confindustria Trento and HIT Trentino, the South Tyrol Association of Entrepreneurs is a founding member of the Digital Innovation Hub Trentino-Alto Adige (DIH TAA), a pool of local excellence that helps enterprises accomplish their digital transformation, supporting them with services in the field of Innovation 4.0. The DIH TAA forms part of Confindustria’s national network of Digital Innovation Hubs.
