UNIBZ – SMART MINI FACTORY

The Smart Mini Factory Lab is a learning factory laboratory for applied research and for teaching. A main focus is on the requirements of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to hybrid and human-centered production and assembly systems as well as robotics and mechatronics for industrial automation. The aim of the laboratory is to create a platform on which researchers meet students and industry to facilitate the transfer of knowledge from research into industry. The main areas of research are focused on automation & robotics, mechatronics and electric drives, human-machine interaction, application of artificial intelligence in production, systems for hybrid assembly and assistance systems in production, digital production management, virtual/augmented reality, as well as industry 4.0 in construction management.
