As one of the world’s leading companies in the development and construction of cableway conveyors, LEITNER ropeways has always concentrated on high development quality and unique design, with the ideal total solution always to the fore: from drive, guidance and control technologies through to vehicles and station buildings. In addition to their application in winter sports, our competences are also in great and growing demand in cities and the tourist industry.

Products and services

The LEITNER ropeways product range includes detachable cabin and chair lifts, aerial tramways, funicular railways, material ropeways, inclined lifts and fixed-grip ski lifts. Many of the ropeway components developed by the company remain unique and thus “without competition” worldwide: these include the LEITNER DirectDrive, which has been at the heart of numerous lift systems and has been the leader in drive technology for 15 years. The company’s recipe for success is also based upon its collaboration with the team of the Italian designer Pininfarina.
