The alpitronic test laboratory performs design and product validation tests for own and customer products. It specializes in the testing of electrical control units in performance classes from 100 W to several 100 kW (1000 V/ 600 A). In addition to general laboratory space for low-voltage tests, the laboratory has 5 test rooms, each being equipped with liquid cooling (water/glycol) and various other devices (e.g. battery simulator). The temperature/climate chambers can be individually moved to the appropriate test room as required. The core competence of the laboratory is to carry out electrical and thermal tests on power electronics where special measuring equipment and extensive experience is a necessity. Pre-compliance EMC measurements can be performed up to 600 A (DC).
